First of all...I would like to apologise as i had no time today to come to any class and announce about Smaraneyam.
I would love to convey the happy news that Principal ma'am called me for some other issue today also...but she asked me if we were planning for any Dress code for Smaraneeyam, I told ma;am about our T-shirt plan.She said it was fine and that if we get sponsors for T-shirts we can also include their name and logo on the T-shirts!!
We also planned to frame comittees for various functions that we will have to do in organising Smaraneeyam'10
These Committees have been framed and the heads will be from the 12th and members would be from 11th and 12th.I will give the details of the committees once it is finalysed.
Also the proposed expenses budget of Smaraneeyam'10 has been framed and braught to the notice of Mita ma'am.We will be getting the Budget split up approved by Principal ma'am on Thursday.Since principal ma'am was busy regarding internal audit today,she requested me to postpone the discussion about smaraneeyam to Thursday.
I am also happy announce that the proposed Smaraneeyam'10 budget is more than double of last year's budget!
We have also requested Mita ma'am for a Grand Invitaion to be printed and she has agreed to it and that we shall give our designs.I request Akilesh to please do his wonderful job of designing as soon as possible.
More Information awaiting confirmation.Will inform all you people once it is confirmed.I am sure you will get to know the committes and Heads by Thursday.

Smaraneeyam Comvison-2010!!! POST-4
First of all.....let make an important announcement SMARANEEYAM COMVISION'10 is postponed to OCTOBER 28,29,30 due to various reasons which include CHEMUN,Debating competition Etc.
28-10-2010 day 0 - In School Premises
29-10-2010 day 1 - At Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan,Mylapore
30-10-2010 day2 - At Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan,Mylapore
I have received the Sponsorship letter from Mita ma'am and have it signed by principal.Regarding the budget split up,last year's wouldn't hold good because we have a plan for much more value.So we will have to submit our estimate to Mita ma'am by tomorrow.
Principal ma'am had called me for a different issue today to her room and in the middle of her talk she asked me to come and meet her after coordinating with Mita ma'am for taking about Smaraneeyam and finalysing our plans.Mita ma'am informed me that myself and her would be going to talk to principal ma'am about this tomorrow.
Principal ma'am also told me to go and announce in all classes from 9th to 12th to about the finalized dates and to ask for sponsorships.Mita ma'am advised me to be persuasive in my speech so as to get sponsors.
It is now that we are going into the stage of organising officially!!
Again a remainder to you people, if we have to make all our beautiful plans a grand success,we will definitely have to get sponsors.I am sure that we can and we will be able to do all that we have planned for and make Smaraneeyam'10, a great grand success !!!!!!!

Smaraneeyam Comvison-2010!!! POST-3
Before i go on with my post,I would like to make it very clear that all that we have done is only drafting of basic plans.May be some of these are just our dreams about smaraneeyam.I am not telling this to discourage anyone,but would like to make it clear that we can and will be able to convince the school to provide all that we have drafted.Even if we are not able to do so,we should not fell disappointed.
In our last posts we were sizzling with new ideas.Now that our side of planning is somewhat complete and we have an estimate ready, I think it is time to get the prior permission for our plans.As everyone knows,these have to be approved by principal ma'am.
Mita ma'am told me to accompany her to talk to Principal ma'am about our plans on Wednesday(25th).In the mean time we got the T-shirt designed from Akhilesh,our school alumni.
We had already planned about DJ's for Smaraneeyam'10.This was also proposed to Mita ma'am and after obtaining quotes from three or four DJ's, I had confirmed with a DJ by name ZEN and had informed Mita ma'am about the cost.She was convinced.
Our next job is on Wednesday (After SANMUN) to go and talk to principal ma'am and finalize our plans.
I would again like to mention that we can get everything that we have planned done only if we get sponsors for them.Convincing the school authorities will not turn out to be a problem since Mita ma'am is on our side.
So it is only the sponsors that are in question.I am pretty sure that we will be able to do much more that what we have planned with full cooperation and coordination.

Smaraneeyam Comvison-2010!!! POST-2
As we are clear about what we will have to do now..lets go about on it......
We will have to clearly understand that we are in the very basic first stage of Smaraneeyam,i.e. Planning.
It is important to understand everything that is planned cannot be executed.So it a humble request by me to you people to understand that any plan discussed here are not fully finalized..It is just a rough idea.
If we would like all those beautiful plans of ours to work out well.....We will have to search for spocerors for which we all will have to work together and this would come in the second phase i.e.Organising.Which is very much after SANMUN.
We will follow the POS DC pattern and move step by step:
1)Planning
2)Organising
3)Staffing
4)Directing
5)Controlling and Co-ordinating
We had always been thinking that let's keep Smaraneeyam in abeyance till SANMUN is over......but then we thought why not do both ?
Today's day with respect to Smaraneeyam'10 for me started along with the end of english period.We reminded mita ma'am about the sponsorship letter.She informed us that she will have to ask the accounts department and that she would do it in a couple of days.
As decided earlier(Kiran.K.Raman's suggestion),we people were of a plan to make a video in our school and play it in Smaraneeyam..People might think that we are copying CV but then...we had decided it earlier....but I don't think we can prove it...anyways...we will do it and wont bother about what people think.
I thought the video should contain different video clips put together which depict gala time at Sankara,and that it should have some whacky songs as its background
(example: weep a wep a weem a wep or waka waka...its time for SANKARA !! )
So for taking the video we will have to get the permission from principal ma'am.Myself and Pranav Siva went and talked to Mita ma'am about this in her room.
She informed us that it was not a problem at all to get a permission to bring handicams to school for just a day or two.She wanted some details about the video.She wanted to know what are the scenes that were to shoot and stuffs like that.We replied that we will decide and get back to her.She also mentioned that it would be better if we put Smaraneeyam in abeyance till SANMUN is over.
So guys....remember what we will have to do now......
1)Bring in suggestions for the video
2) b/d from last post....collect the letter from mita ma'am (since searching for sponsors comes after sanmun...we still have 5 days to go to collect the letter...no problem)
Loads of more plans waiting for confirmation...once they are confirmed with ma'am and principal ma'am ...I will surely let you know....

Smaraneeyam Comvison-2010!!!
It was when i was taking a ride in my TVS in my locality that i saw Chitra ramesh ma'am walking on the road.I stopped and wished her good evening.
After few conversations came this question....
"When is smaraneeyam?" she asked
"end of October, ma'am" I replied.
The next day,Music ma'am asked me the same question and i gave her the same answer.I walked upto meetha ma'am to ask if the dates were confirmed(we had to book bharathiya vidya bhavan that week).
She replied with a positive answer.
"SMARANEEYAM COMVISON-2010 is on October 21,22 23 !!!!"
"Ma'am....Could we have a thematic culturals? " I asked.She had no problem with it as long as the theme is viable for all events.
After a whiles thought and a long discussion with 12 c students...we came to a conclusion that there should be no specific theme for smaraneeyam.It is then we decided that this years smaraneeyam would be the culturals of the decade 2010 !!!
It is at this point of time that i wanted to pen down all my ideas for smaraneeyam...most important of all...... T-SHIRTS ! ! ! ! !! ! ! !
There came loads of new ideas for smaraneeyam com-vision 2010 ....which include T-shirts , DJ , Smoke & Lighting Effects etc etc etc.......
Well....I pretty much know that everything that is being thought about cannot be brought into action...but then..why not hope for the best.....
If we really have to do EVERYTHING mentioned above...We HAVE to get good sponcerors!
and for that we are gonna go on a sponsorship hunt.Well...thats gonna be only after sanmun though.......
For this purpose we asked Mita ma'am for a letter in the school letterhead attested by the head of the institution stating that we are in search of sponsors.She replied that she would make it ready by a couple of days.
I was wondering if Mita ma'am would accept our ideas and would it work out?..but then by god's grace...It did...we told our plans to Mita ma'am and she said Your ideas are good children....but we will have to talk to the principal and then say a final YES to it.She also mentioned that we will talk to Principal madam in the near future and told me to accompany her when we were to finalize !
She further mentioned that "Children, You can proceed with your ideas.They are pretty good,Just keep me informed about every step of yours.And prathik,please pen down your budget estimate for this years smaraneeyam by allotting money for all your new plans also, and then contact me."
Obviously me reply was......."YES!!!!!!!!!"
ONE BIG THANKS TO MITA MA'AM !!!!!!!!!!
